From Film and Footlights
Dover Youth Theatre are delighted to announce auditions for a 6 day performing arts workshop 'From Film and Footlights' with West End Musical Director and BBC coach, Matt Gardener (Royal Academy of Music), Choreographer Julia Rennels (RAD ISTD IDTA), Drama Director Michael Thomas (Rada) and West End actress and Director Marie Kelly (Rada). Matt who joins DYT for the first time is creator of Theatreworkz, has been Musical Director/Musician on Blood Brothers, Scrooge, (Both for Impressario Bill Kenwright), Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair and Tracey Beaker gets Real, (National Tour & Nottingham Playhouse). He has written music for MTV, coached at Mountview Theatre School, BBC's Cranford where he coached Dame Judi Dench & Sir Michael Gambon to sing Hymns! The workshop dates are 10th - 15th April at 7.30pm at the Dover Town Hall.
Initial auditions which are for a limit of 25 places take place on Friday 5th March 2010 at 4.30pm in the Salem Baptist Church Hall, Maison Dieu Road, Dover. Auditions are open to all between age 10 (year 6) to 26 years. Please prepare a short drama piece and a short unaccompanied song. To reserve an audition time please ring or email.

Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club Beer Festival
The Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club are having a Spring Real Ale Festival consisting of 12 real ales from various micro-breweries - at £2.50 per pint.
On Friday the fifth of March, it starts at 6pm and goes to 23.00
The Saturday, the 6th. it is from noon to 23.00.
There will be food available and music too, so a great week-end in store.
Free entry, but please sign in.

Comedy Nights will be run on the last Thursday of every month from February 2010.
