SCARECROW TRAIL
Come on the Scarecrow trail around River from 10 am on Saturday 5th through to 4pm on Sunday 6th.
Collect your Scarecrow trail map from the Crabble Corn Mill or River Village Hall for just £2 a map with all the proceeds going the the Kent Air Ambulance.
There is the Tea room and a B. B. Q at the Crabble Corn Mill for refreshments all day and tonight you can turn up at the Mill for entertainment from the Rambling Boys with free entry.

Folkestone Harbour Festival 2008
Folkestone's famous Harbour Festival is now in it's 5th year, already one of Shepway's best days out it's been getting bigger, better and more succesfull every year. This July the festival will be running alongside the Folkestone Triennial and visitor numbers are expected to he higher than ever.
The Harbour Festival is to be held on the 19th July 2008 and will start at 10am, finishing at 9pm with a grand fireworks display which is always spectacular. As usual, entry is free. All proceeds go to the RNLI and other local charities.
This years attractions include:
The annual Raft Race off Sunny Sands at around midday, followed by the Annual Trawler race and a demonstration yacht race.
There will also be a Truck Pull, Gladiator Challenge, Bungee Run, Rodeo Bull, Bouncy Castles, Skittle Alley and Dover Lifeboat* will be on display in the Harbour.
HM Coastguard vessel "Anglian Monarch" with it's firefighting water cannon display* will also be entertaining the crowds, along with Air Sea Rescue Helicopter, Funfair and Childrens Rides, Market Stalls, Food Stalls, Tombolla, Helicopter Rides, Sideshows on the Stade and Live Bands all afternoon and into the evening.
There will be the Grand Fireworks finale at 9pm and more atractions are still being added. Full timetable will become available shortly.
*Lifeboat and Coastguard subject to operational requirements

Summerclub 2008
A Funpacked activity filled Summerclub for 2 to 14 year olds will be held at the Clarendon & Westbury Community Centre, Belgrave Road, Dover from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday from Monday 28 July 2008 to Friday 15 August 2008. The cost of the sessions is £7.50/session/child and booking a place is recommended.
